Story 1~ "A Valentines Day Dream Come True"/ Joi was sitting in her room going through old notes and stuff her friends had written her during the school year. Doing that, she came across an envelope. Inside was a decorated love letter from her ex-boyfriend, Sean. She rolled her eyes, tore it up, and threw it in the trash. Joi: Trifling butt...he ain't even deserve to be with me. She became disgusted with the thought of Sean and decided to put the notes away and call her long-distance homegirl, Nika to see what was up with her. (Nika answers the phone.) Nika: Hel-lo? Joi: Whassup, girl! This Joi. Nika: Hey, girl! Dang I haven't talked to you on the phone for like a month! Joi: I know, girl...what you been doing? Nika: Nothing, really...I was about to go to the mall, but then I changed my mind. Joi (sadly): Oh... Nika: J, you alright? Joi: Yeah, I'm cool. Nika: Now, I know when you lying! What's wrong? Joi: Valentines Day is coming up, girl...and well, I've been thinking a lot about Sean-- Nika: No! We ain't EVEN gonna go that route. You broke up with his trifling butt for a reason! Remember... Joi: I know, but waht am I gonna do for Valentines Day? Nika: Dang! Uugh! Just go out and get you another man! Joi: I think you're right, but... Nika: But nothing! You should be at the mall getting those numbers! Joi: You crazy! Nika: Girl, I gotta go. Joi: Wait a minute! You supposed to solve my problem! Nika: I gotta go! Call me later on tonight, aiight? Joi: Yeah, aiight. Peace... Nika: Bye. (They hung up.) Joi got up, went over to her CD player and played her "Lately" single. Then decided to wallow in her loneliness. Joi's mom: JOI!!! Joi: HUH?!?! Joi's mom: You got some mail down here! Joi: Alright, here I come! Joi went downstairs and looked on the dining room table. There was a red envelope addressed to her and in the left hand corner, it just read: GUESS WHO??? Joi smiled, and then slowly opened it. When she did, little heart-shaped confetti spilled out of the paper and she began to read it: Dear Joi, Hey, whassup! You probably weren't expecting this, but we are having a Valentines Day bash for some of our devoted fans. You are defintiely one of them, and we'd like to invite you and another friend to join the party! There was only one catch--it's in New York...So, what we did was selected 5 winners out of a drawing to get free airline tickets to New York. And YOU are one of the winners!!! That means that you, a friend, and a guardian will be commuted to New York to be our guests. Further information is on the additional page that was sent with this letter.
